SEAGRASS – “The flowering plant grows in marine”.

Seagrass has another scientific name which is Cyperus. In Vietnam, sedge grows and is cultivated in the northern provinces from Quang Ninh to Thanh Hoa and along the coastal South Central provinces. The two mainly cultivated species are the white cotton sedge (Cyperus tegetiformis) and the brown cotton sedge (Cyperus corymbosus). Sedge is mainly used for sedge mat weaving and production of sedge handicrafts such as storage baskets, bags, sandals, hats and other popular items.
